ExcursionPanorama of the Rochers de Naye, spectacular view of Lake Geneva. As at every IWNBP congress, an excursion is planned on Wednesday (Subject to weather conditions). After the Chauvet cave and Ardèche Gorges during the 2017 edition in Vogüé, Puy-de-Dôme during the 2019 edition in Auvergne, this 2022 edition will be the occasion for an escapade in the magnificent prealps of Vaud in Switzerland. The Rochers de Naye (alt. 2042 m), reached (effortlessly!) by a typical Swiss cogwheel train ride, are one of the best known balconies on Lake Geneva. The 360° view covers large part of the French alps (Mont Blanc, Aravis, Haut Giffre and Chablais massifs) and the Swiss Alps (prealps of Fribourg, alps of Vaud, Valais, and 4000ers of the Bernese Oberland.) View to the south-east: Vaud Alps and les Diablerets (3210 m). The cogwheel train line. Under the summit. |
